Trailer of Supplies sent to Laurel, MS for Tornado Survivors

Monday morning, January 6th we had a message on our answering machine from Jerry Graham, minister of the East Laurel church in Laurel, MS.  Laurel was hit December 16th by a tornado, and a large number of homes had been destroyed or damaged.  A number of tornadoes were reported on the 16th in Louisiana and Mississippi.

The East Laurel church wanted to help their community.  Ken Lowry, our representative over Mississippi contacted Bro Graham that morning, and  he said they wanted a trailer of supplies.  That trailer of supplies, valued at around $70,000 pulled away from our Nashville warehouse about 2 hours later on Monday, and was at the church building Tuesday morning.  The members of the East Laurel church unloaded the supplies at 10am, so they could go work helping their neighbors in need.

We stand ready to send more supplies when local congregations in major disaster areas call us to say they want to help.

Pray for those in Mississippi that lost their homes from this storm.
