Supplies Sent for Williamsburg, Kentucky Flood Victims

Yesterday morning, we received our first request for supplies from flood areas. The minister from the Shiner Church of Christ in Williamsburg, Kentucky left me a message about about wanting a truck, Eastern time, early yesterday morning. I called him back at 8am, and we had the truck loaded at 9:15, and the driver left our warehouse at 10:45. The semi was pulling on of our 53′ trailers full of well-organized pre-packed boxes of food, personal hygiene, infant care, cleaning supplies, water, new clothing, new shoes, new undergarments, pallets of water, laundry detergent, bleach, mops, brooms, rakes, shovels, valued at about $70,000.

The members of the Shiner church, along with help from the 19th Street Church of Christ in Corbin, KY, unloaded the supplies in Williamsburg about 4pm yesterday. As of 9am this morning (2/12), the Cumberland River is at 22.24 ft, flood stage is 21ft. They are getting more light to moderate rain today. We are all praying for those across the country in these flooded areas.
If this first shipment of supplies do not meet everyone’s needs, we’re ready to send additional truckloads.

Thank you for your prayers and support!
