Nashville Area Hit by Tornadoes, COCDRE Warehouse Not Damaged. More Aid to Flood victims in MS, WA, and OR

A lot of damage and devastation in East Nashville, and communities east of us.

Our facilities are fine, although one of our employees homes in Mount Juliet was damaged.

The death count is now 25. and a small number of people are still unaccounted for.

Interstate 40 runs East and West through the middle of the state of Tennessee, and right through Nashville. Our warehouse is located south of I-40, but the tornado hit north of I-40, in the Eastern part of the city, then as it went east, it got stronger. 60 miles east of Nashville is Putnam County, by the time the storm reached the cities of Baxter and Cookeville, in Putnam County, the strength of the twister was an EF-4, with winds of 175 mph.

We have delivered trailers of supplies  to the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Cookeville, the Mount Juliet Church of Christ in Mount Juliet, the Double Springs Church of Christ in Cookeville,, the Schrader Lane Church of Christ in Nashville, and a partial shipment went to the Jackson Street Church of Christ in Nashville, and another full shipment went to the Central Pike Church of Christ in Nashville.

Our volunteers packed another 1,500 family food boxes yesterday morning (March 5th) so we stand ready to ship additional shipments when we receive the call.

Please keep the families of those that have lost loved ones from this storm, in your prayers.  We also thank you for your support and prayers for this work.  May God receive all the glory!

Before the tornado hit Nashville, we failed to post that we had sent 2 shipments of supplies for the flood victims around Jackson, Mississippi. The first shipment went to the Lake Harbour church in Ridgeland, and the second shipment went to the Hanging Moss church in Jackson.

A shipment was also sent for the flood victims in Washington state, this shipment went to the Walla Walla Church of Christ to help those in Walla Walla, and south across the state line to Pendleton, Oregon.

We thank all of the congregations that want to help their communities. We send the supplies and turn them over to a local congregation to help their community. They do the work, they help their neighbors in need.
