Total of 15 Shipments Sent to Louisiana, New Jersey, & California

Things have been hopping at our warehouse in Nashville. We have been busy scheduling, loading, and sending shipments to Louisiana, New Jersey for Hurricane/Tropical Storm Ida, and to California for the wildfires.

In the previous post we mentioned the delivery of the first two shipments to Louisiana on Wednesday 9/1 .

On Friday 9/3 a 53’ Semi-trailer full of supplies was unloaded that morning in Zachary, LA at the Zachary Church of Christ.

On Saturday 9/4 a shipment was unloaded by the members of the Hickory Knoll Church of Christ at their building in Harahan, LA

On Monday, Labor Day, Sept 6th, a shipment was unloaded by the members at the Chalmette church in Chalmette, LA.

Tuesday, 9/7 the 2nd shipment of supplies was unloaded at the LaPlace Church of Christ.

Wednesday, 9/8 a shipment was unloaded at the Civic Center in LaFitte, LA. Members of congregations around LaFitte, LaPlace, New Orleans, along with the volunteers helping the CoC Disaster Response Team, unloaded the truck to help families in that area. Our driver Rob Frankum had a long night driving to LaFitte due to road issues and the rising tide. We are thankful that he returned home safe. Thank you Bro Rob!

On Thursday, Sept 9th, members unloaded a shipment at the Louisa Street church in New Orleans. Also that morning, a shipment from our warehouse was unloaded by the Clinton Ave Church of Christ in Trenton, New Jersey… also because of all the rain from then Tropical Storm Ida in the Northeast. Thursday afternoon, a shipment of supplies left to help those affected by the wildfires in the Lake Tahoe area. This shipment will delivery Monday at the Placerville Church of Christ in Placerville, California

Yesterday, Friday 9/10, the 3rd shipment of supplies was unloaded at the LaPlace church of Christ. Another shipment departed for the Lake Tahoe church of Christ in South Lake Tahoe, California, also to be unloaded early next week.

This morning, Saturday 9/11, a shipment was unloaded at the DeGaulle Drive church of Christ in New Orleans.

Tomorrow, 9/12, a shipment of supplies will be unloaded at the Railroad Avenue church in Morgan City, LA. And another shipment will depart Nashville that afternoon, to be unloaded Monday morning at the Pear Ridge church in Hammond, LA

We pray for all of the families affected by Ida, and by the wildfires in California. We also pray for all of the volunteers in Nashville, and in each of the areas listed above that are trying to bring some comfort to those in need, and for the many first responders that perform search and rescue when a major disaster happens.

We also bow on this 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks that took place in our country. We pray for the families of all those that lost their lives in the Twin Towers, and on American Airlines flight 11 and United Airlines flight 175 that crashed into the twin towers, plus the families of those aboard American Airlines Flight 77 that crashed into the West side of the Pentagon, and the families of those aboard United Flight 93, whose passengers attempted to to take back control of the aircraft that crashed in a field near Shanksville, PA that was most likely headed for the White House, or the US Capitol building. We also pray for all of the first responders that rushed into the twin towers and those at the crash sights of those events on 9/11/2001
