Changes to our Donation Form

If you use our Give Today button at the top of our main screen on our website, and then click on Give Online, the donation form on the screen will look a little different. We have upgraded the program we use to record donations. This new program will be a much easier process for us, and it will automate some of the steps we’ve done others ways for years, and give us a better way of maintaing our records.

The biggest change you’ll notice if you used our website to make donations in the past, is a box you can check after you enter your Credit Card number and scroll down into the Payment Details section.

Many know, but some may not, that credit card companies charge a fee for handling your donations and payments. With our previous program, they took a percentage out too, at the end of a month, but this new form using our new program allows you to choose if you would like to add 3% to your donation amount, so you can pay for the fee for your donation. So, for example, if you were originally giving $10, and you click on the Add 3% box, your credit card will be charged $10.30, and we will receive $10. If you choose not to add the 3%, with a $10 donation, your credit card will be charged $10, and we will receive $9.70.

Transaction fees are not something new, the Credit Card companies have charging them all along, but they’ve been subtracted from what we receive, but now if you want, you have the option of adding the 3% theyre going to take from the donation..
