Additional Supplies Sent to Tornado Survivors in LA & AR
Early this morning one of our volunteer drivers pulled away from our Nashville warehouse, headed back to the New Orleans area. The word gets out about how we pack our supplies, already boxed up for a family, ready to hand to them. One community was being helped by another group, and they quickly ran out of what they had, and left. The Mayor contacted the Church of Christ of Greater New Orleans in Saint Bernard, Louisiana, and asked if they could help in the area that was not getting any help. That truck will be unloaded tomorrow morning in a different area, to help another community.
Then about noon today, another shipment left Nashville, headed to the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale, AR. Springdale got hit by a tornado early yesterday morning (Wednesday, March 30) at 4:45am. With it happening yesterday morning, it took them some time to access the damaged area, but they requested we send a truck last evening. That truck will be in Springdale late this evening at the church building, but will probably not be unloaded until Friday morning also.
Thank you for your support, and for your prayers for this work, and for those affected by these storms.
