Requests for Help After Tornadoes and Wildfires
It’s been a busy day, between many of our employees being in areas that had Tornado warnings today, along with us reaching out to areas already affected by disasters.
As of this evening, we have deliveries for three congregations setup for Monday.
Sunday afternoon, 3/16, a shipment of supplies will be unloaded for the Cave City Church of Christ, in Cave City, Arkansas that was hit by tornado. The Cave City Church building was destroyed by the tornado. (See the attached picture)
Monday morning, 3/17, a shipment will unload at the Bakersfield Church of Christ, in Bakersfield, Missouri, that was also hit by a tornado.
Then Monday afternoon, a truckload of supplies will be unloaded by the Cleveland Church of Christ, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, where wildfires have been burning.
We are also still finalizing the logistics of delivering a shipment to the Tylertown Church of Christ in Tylertown, Mississippi, also hit by tornado.
Many more areas were hit today, and the storms are still moving across Georgia, North and South Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. We have been in touch with congregations, and know we will be receiving requests for more help. So many areas have been devastated, and so many families are hurting. We pray we can do something to help these families, and may God bring them the true peace, that only He can provide!
