Reaching out to congregations in areas affected by Heavy Rain in Southeast US.
We are aware of flooding in Tennessee and Kentucky. We have been in touch with congregations in those areas, plus congregations in Virginia, and West Vitginia. After the weekend flooding, the temperatures forecast to drop down for another freeze, along with more snow in the Northeast.
The biggest concern at this time is Rives, Tennessee, where a levee has failed, flooding 200 homes. We are in touch with Bishop Street church in Union City, that we've worked with before, about 5 miles away. They are evaluating the best time for a truck. They are still in search and rescue mode, with the freeze coming midweek.
We have 8 truckloads of goods ready to be sent when requested, and will let you know when they’re on the way.
Please pray for all of those in the flooded areas.
