More Supplies and Shipments of Water

Thursday morning, March 4th, another shipment of supplies was unloaded at the Inez Church of Christ in Inez, Kentucky. After our supplies were unloaded in Inez, our driver drove to Lexington, KY and picked up a truckload of water, and then unloaded it this morning back at the Inez church.

This morning, Friday, March 5th, a shipment of supplies was unloaded at the Clay City church of Christ building in Clay City, KY

We also delivered 3 deliveries of bottled water. One trailer load of water was split, and half of the shipment was unloaded this morning at the Durant Church of Christ in Durant, MS, and the remaining half was unloaded about noon at the Williamson Avenue church in Jackson, MS.

Another full trailer of bottled water was unloaded this afternoon at the South Central church in Tyler, TX to help that community.

Monday morning March 8th a shipment of supplies will be unloaded at the South Irvine Church of Christ building in Irvine, Kentucky.

We are working on a shipment of supplies for Beattyville, KY and will give you the detail when we’ve sent it.

We continue to speak with other congregations in Kentucky, and Texas about their needs to see how we might be able to help those families in need.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! If your church is in the Nashville area, or within traveling distance to Nashville and back the same day, and you can get 10 to 12 people together (16 or older) that can come work at our warehouse during the week for 4 hours or longer, between 8:30am and 3pm, we need assistance packing family food boxes. These boxes of non-perishable food items will feed a family of 4 about a week, and they are one of the main items along with many other basic supplies we send to disaster areas to be given to those in need. Because of our current restrictions in Nashville, we are still limited as to the number of people we can have working together at a time. If you can get a group of 10-12 together, to come work during the week, please contact our office at 615-833-0888, and speak with one of our office staff. We will schedule your group on our calendar. On that date your group will be the only group here. Packing these food boxes requires you to be on your feet, walking back and forth pushing multiple boxes at a time, as you put the same contents of the different food items we pack. We pack and place 25 of them on a pallet, and a truckload needs a minimum of 10 pallets right now! These weigh about 60lbs each when packed.

Also, if you’re in the Nashville area, or not far from Nashville, we are also looking for those with a Class A Commercial Drivers License, that would be interested in driving a shipment of supplies to those in need across the lower 48 states. We know many with CDL’s might be able to go on a weekend, but we need drivers that can go during the week. Our truck drivers are not employed, they volunteer to driver our shipments to help others, and we pay for the travel expenses for our drivers. If interested, please call our office number listed in the previous paragraph, and speak with us. WE COULD USE YOUR HELP ALSO!

Please pray for those hurting because of the flooding in Kentucky, and those in the south affected by the long winter freeze. We appreciate your prayers for this work, and for your support.
