5 shipments Sent to Texas, 1 to Georgia

After the snow and ice melted somewhat, and the roads were cleared, the calls to CCDRE for help started coming in. We were already prepared, ready to send supplies when we received the call.

The first truck going to Texas was requested by the Fifth Ward church in Houston, to be unloaded at their building Monday, Feb 22nd. They requested our standard shipment of a 53’ semi-trailer full of our well-organized, pre-packed supplies, ready for distribution to those in need,. The standard shipment contains Family food boxes, Personal Hygiene boxes, Infant care boxes, Pre-packed cleaning supply buckets, pallets of water, bleach, detergent, new clothing, new shoes, along with new mops, brooms, rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows. Fifth Ward wanted their truck Monday morning, so our volunteer driver was at their building early Monday so the members could unload the trailer. We have worked with the Fifth Ward church many times over the years, helping out the community around the Fifth Ward church.

The second shipment unloaded at the Kashmere Gardens church building on Tuesday morning the 23rd.

Also unloading Tuesday morning was a shipment that went to the Church Street church in Blakely, GA. They had a shipping container delivered on one of their members property that lived closer to the tornado damaged area, which was in Damascus, GA. By having the supplies closer to the area of need, they could be loaded into cars or pickups, and taken directly into the area, or those in need could come to where the shipping container was located to pick up the things they needed.

Wednesday morning, the 24th of February, another shipment was unloaded by the members of the Jersey Village church, in Jersey Village, TX.

Thursday morning the 25th, another trailer of supplies was unloaded by the members of the Thomas Johnson Road Church of Christ In Hemphill, TX.

Friday morning, February 26th, a trailer pulled up to the church building at the Highland Heights Church of Christ in Houston., so they could unload it, and start helping their community.

Next Tuesday morning, a shipment of the same supplies was requested by the Dallas West Church of Christ, and will be unloaded at their building in Dallas, TX.

We ready for the next call. We appreciate your prayers for those across the South that were hit hard as this winter storm came across through the South. We also thank you for your prayers for this work. God has blessed us with support, so that we might be able to help those families in need.
