Shipment of Supplies en route to Canadian, TX

Early this morning a semi pulling a 53’ trailer full of supplies left our Nashville warehouse, on it’s way to Canadian, Texas where it will be unloaded tomorrow morning by the members of the Canadian Church of Christ. These much needed supplies of prepacked boxes of food, personal hygiene, infant care, new clothing, water, and cleaning supplies will unloaded and distributed by the church at the Canadian Exhibition Center.

There have been a total of a million acres burned by 5 different fires since the fires began Monday afternoon. Canadian is in the Texas panhandle, Northeast of Amarillo. At least one has died in the wildfires. The largest of the fires started near the Smokehouse Creek, North of Amarillo, and quickly became the second largest wildfire in Texas history. A disaster declaration has been issued for 60 counties in Texas. Some of the fires have spread east into Oklahoma, no major needs in Oklahoma at this point.

Please pray for those families whose homes were in the path of these fires, for the fire crews working to contain these fires, and for the Canadian church wanting to help those in need in that area.
